Very good at what it does
My mustang recently blew a spark plug out of the head and this kit was a life saver. First off it was shipped amazingly quick, next Time-Sert designed this kit and the included instructions very well.

The longest part of this repair was the prep work because of the way that my Mustang is set up. Follow each step as outlined on the instruction sheet and you can not go wrong. I was done with this repair in about two hours, since this is the first time that I have done this I consider that a decent time.

The replacement spark plug went in with no issues once the insert was installed, checked the torque and fired up my engine. Running like it should. This is a great kit and costs about the same as someone would quote you to put in a heli-coil which can fail eventually. This kit is so good at what it does that Ford has approved it as an acceptable repair for this issue. Also this was done over the fender, I did not need to remove the heads to do this repair, another bonus in my book.

I would not hesitate to recommend this kit to anyone with a Ford engine that has had a problem with spark plugs being blown out of their heads.
 
Solid Kit, Well Designed
I was skeptical about cutting into the head on my Expedition while still on the engine. However the directions were very clear and if you had any questions, there were pictures and explanaitons on the web. The tools are top notch and can be used many times to install multiple inserts. Although the kit only came with 5 inserts (why not 8 for all 8 cylinders?) its easy to purchase more. The only thing I would add if you plan to use this kit is a bore scope to see inside the cylinder (I used it to find Top Dead Center as well as see how many shavings fell down into the cylinder) and a wire grabber tool (used to hold a cotton ball with grease on it to pick up the few lost shavings). So far the engine has been running fine since installation (about 3 months now).
 
Scary proccess, Amazing kit
Took roughly 30 minutes to install 1 repair on my 03 Mustang GT. I bet it can be done correctly in under 15, but it was the first time and I wanted it to be the last time. I'm confident it will be on that spark hole any way.

The kit comes with everything you need, except I would dock 1/2 Star since it doesn't come with 8 inserts and alot of sites will only sell the inserts in bulk packages. Luckily one of the Amazon vendors sells singles.

All the bits have stops to keep you from going too deep. The inset tool is pure genius.

Did the repair with heads on as well as the valve covers. Only had to remove the fuel rail for better access. Use a vaccum and grease!
